Karen currently serves as Executive Legal Assistant to Harris H. “Trip” Barnes, III. She brings over 25 years of experience in the legal field as office manager and legal assistant in the areas of corporate law, insurance defense, estate and business planning, as well expertise in general as to how an effective law firm operates.
Karen returned to her home town of Jackson, MS in 2014 upon completion of ministry school in North Carolina, as well as travel ministry abroad and legal careers in Alabama and California.
Joyce has a B.S.B.A. in Business from the University of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg, MS, and an M.B.A. from Mississippi College, Jackson, MS. She also has 25 years of experience in accounting and auditing for the State of Mississippi.
Dena is a paralegal working in the areas of Civil Tax Litigation, Estate Planning, Tax Planning, Probate and Trust Litigation.
After graduating from Brandon High School in 1988, Dena attended Hinds Community College and graduated with an Associates Degree in Applied Science for Paralegal Studies. She then obtained her Bachelor's Degree from Mississippi College in 1994.
Dena is in the process of taking the Special Enrollment Examination which will enable her to represent taxpayers before the IRS as an Enrolled Agent.
Susan serves as the Executive Legal Assistant to Gray Edmondson and paralegal working in the areas of business planning, tax controversy, estate and tax planning and estate litigation.
Susan moved to Oxford Mississippi in 2005 from Los Angeles California where she worked as a Concierge for the Century City Twin Towers and a large Entertainment law firm.
Susan's professional experience consists of concierge services, executive management, client relations, marketing and event planning and law office administration.
Brenda earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Mobile and her Master's Degree in Religious Education from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. After completing 27 years of full-time employment in the Baptist ministry, Brenda has set her talents and skills to work for the firm assisting in meeting the various needs of our clientele.
Carol is a native of Salt Lake City, Utah, and has been in Jackson, Mississippi for the past 25 years. She brings over 30 years of experience and expertise to our firm.
Misty is a paralegal working in the areas of Estate Planning, Tax Planning, Probate and Trust Litigation.
Misty graduated from East Rankin Academy and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Southern Mississippi. Misty earned a Certified Paralegal certificate from NALA and an Advanced Paralegal Certification in trial practice.
Misty’s paralegal experience is varied and includes work in estate and probate matters, eminent domain, and many areas of litigation, including personal injury, medical malpractice, insurance bad faith, business litigation, and healthcare law.
